L’80esima edizione dei Golden Globes, premi cinematografici e televisivi, ha visto la vittoria di “The Fabelmans” di Steven Spielberg e “The Banshee of Irisherin” come miglior film e miglior serie televisiva. La cerimonia, presentata da Ryan Murphy e Eddie Murphy, ha visto anche l’assegnazione di premi speciali per il loro contributo all’industria cinematografica.

La giuria, composta da 96 membri, ha votato per i candidati finalisti, mentre 103 elettori internazionali provenienti da organizzazioni e festival cinematografici hanno anche espresso la loro opinione. Questa edizione si distingue per l’alto numero di membri della giuria provenienti da minoranze razziali negli Stati Uniti, con il 51,8% dei membri che rappresentano queste comunità.

I vincitori delle varie categorie hanno ricevuto premi d’oro in riconoscimento dei loro straordinari contributi all’arte cinematografica e televisiva. Tra i premiati, anche registi, attori e sceneggiatori, che hanno ricevuto riconoscimenti per le loro opere. La cerimonia ha anche visto la partecipazione di rappresentanti dell’industria cinematografica e televisiva da tutto il mondo, che hanno celebrato insieme i successi del settore.
